Hello. My name is Tim Vandermey, and for 2 year’s in a beautiful Canadian British Columbia town called Princeton BC, I personally dumped millions of tons of American contaminated waste , and did so because management told me as a loader operator, it was normal practice, and the company was in compliance, to do so.

I’m now going to say ,this company is involved in the soil remediation industry, where companies from all over western Canada and the western United States, brings refinery waste, accident waste from chemical trucks that have mishaps, oil and gas industry and mining waste,…treats it by burning the soil in a dryer, to remove the hydrocarbon from the soils…… problem is, it’s screened before burning, and the untreated screenings , was what I personally took to a off site area of the company, and dump it over a bank 40-60 ft deep, and the waste was used to create more land so the company could expand its dumping area of TREATED soils.

This companies name is Envirogreen technologies, and the management was told by me repeatedly, that this was illegal…..but they told me, that because it’s a old mine site( Samilco mine ) it’s legal for them to utilize the site how they see fit. I phoned the Canadian ministry of environment,….told them I was PERSONALLY, dumping waste, and they refused to show up on site, and personally have me show them where the violation was happening……not one government official would allow me AS the whistleblower, to help them.

I’m here to let people know, yes I personally dumped the waste, AND dumped millions and millions of gallons of contaminated water into the Samilkamine river, that flows down to the town of Princeton……im guilty, as are 5 other equipment operators, who between all of us DAILY, contributed to 100-200 tons in a 12 hr shift……rock trucks would do 30 ton loads on average 30+ truckloads a day……you do the math.

I PERSONALLY , have 200 photos of Envirogreen Technologies property, and the tons of plastics, tires, railway ties , wood waste, envirobags that line the dump truck boxes so seepage does not happen while transporting the waste…..it’s considered normal practice, to hide the waste…..but because they are the only major soil remediation company in western Canada, …..I believe government does not want to shut it down,…..they make money off the company, and the company treats the government waste , from projects that happens….. basically you scratch my back , we will scratch yours.

November 2019, 8:30 pm, Envirogreen had a workplace explosion happen, because the safeties were turned off on the burner , so they could run as much product through the plant , before year’s end of Jan 1 2020…..this is their shutdown timeline where the plant gets its yearly overhaul for the next season. I PERSONALLY was the loader operator on that night, and me and 3 other employees, watched the dryer overheat…..but we couldn’t figure out why,…..our soils were cool , meaning their wasn’t a huge amount of hydrocarbons that made the dryer “”overtemp””….yet , the outside of the dryer continued to glow orange and made the interior of the dryers walls like a xray…..you could see how the dryer was built, it showed through the heat. We couldn’t figure out the problem, but found out by the millwrights , that they were ordered by management to disable the safeties,…..so when it got to hot, normally the computer in the tower says I’m going to shut down, …I’m to hot….but again because the safeties were disabled , the dryer which is run by propane, refused. We eventually manually shut down to investigate, ……but because safety systems were tampered with in the dayshift, and not told to us, we were blind. For 45 minutes, unknowingly to us, the dryer was filling up with propane…..it eventually filled the whole plant internally , yet one could not smell it,….when the tower operator said, the plant is cool enough to restart, 3 attempts to fire the burner failed…..inbetween each purge, is on average 15 mins,…..that part of the computer worked, but turning off the safeties, allowed the fuel system to fill fuel non stop……..finally we lit the 4th time , and the whole plant BLEW SKY HIGH…..almost killing 4 employees. We phoned at 9:20 pm the management, and later found out before any investigators showed up on site, management dismantled the site so nothing could be found……all weekend they had all hands on deck to coverup their illegal act. Monday morning, WorkSafeBC., showed up at 9am, refused to interview the 4 of us employees, stayed 10 minutes, WITHOUT doing a investigation…..and what’s even more criminal, is Envirogreen technologies refused us employees involved in the explosion to talk with investigator’s….the fact that ANOTHER British Columbia government agency, refused to list this as a industrial accident, it’s listed as a “”near miss””….…I can’t even be givin the investigators report, or his name. This is how Envirogreen technologies gets to operate,……by government agencies looking the other way for them.

Brian Stuckert, owns Envirogreen technologies, and is head of Quantum Murray out of Vancouver BC,……they are the biggest environmental company with offices across Canada……Envirogreen Technologies, is a sister company that treats soil FOR Quantum Murray……they get contracts from the British Columbia government, send the waste to Princeton BC,…..and everyone makes money……problem is, they are dumping the waste in the bush, and charging American companies, $10,000.00-18,000.00 per truckload…….and making money, but not treating the waste 100%……and I have the proof, ….so with writing this ?,….I’m hoping Envirogreen technologies takes me to court, sues me,…. because only then , will they have to account for the illegal acts done daily on site. As a whistleblower, I’m willing to lose everything in order to stop this company….it has to be done.

When the explosion happened, they the company already knew I had 2 Native bands come on site to investigate claims , which is on their land….and the company did a internal investigation on who was tatling on them ….I told them it was me, AND I was the one who phoned Ministry of Environment on them……how do they know ?,…. because the agency that is meant to protect the Environment, phoned and told the company I called…..between me reporting them to 3 government agencies, and the fact that I complained about not having rights to be a part of the investigation, they fired me January 10, 2020…..1 month after the explosion…..it was perfect for them , because they listed to the government, that I quit………that ?, ..was not the case….i had 4 kids to feed…., but they claimed I quit, 4 months later, EI, investigated, and found they lied on my ROE(pink slip )…..and I was awarded my employment insurance.
